Developer inXile has been quite busy after the launch of Wasteland 3. This adventure allows us to immerse ourselves in a post-apocalyptic world full of dangers as part of the last groups of Rangers in Arizona, Colorado. In the game, you have to face all kinds of threats as you explore the region and deal with the different factions that struggle for power in the area. Even though the game is a big hit among the fans of role-playing games, there are some aspects of its gameplay and mechanics that have been enhanced via several updates after launch. The latest one will take the game to its 1.3.3 version and it brings several new features and gameplay modes that will make Wasteland 3 even more exciting.
This patch called "Death and Taxes" adds a new "Permadeath" mode to Wasteland 3, in which any of your characters whose health reaches zero will be gone forever instead of falling unconscious. You won't be able to revive them by using Nitro Spike or any other means either. This new feature can only be enabled at the start of a single-player game, and it won't work in multiplayer games. But if you are looking for the ultimate challenge you will also be able to increase the difficulty of the skill checks in Wasteland 3 when the new patch is implemented. Just make sure to make your mind about those options before you start a game because they can't be deactivated later.
Another addition to Wasteland 3 that will arrive in the upcoming patch is a re-specialization system that will be very welcomed by most players. You will be able to change their skills of any member of your team for a modest fee when you visit Ranger HQ. This potentially allows you to adapt to any situation without having to replace your favorite character with a rookie.
Finally, Death and Taxes also includes plenty of helmets, scars, and tattoos to customize your characters as well as a good number of fixes and improvements. The update will be available very soon but you can find all the details about it in an official blog post about the matter.
