Ubisoft is about to unveil a new Tom Clancy's game

The Tom Clancy's license needs no introduction. The series of spy novels that the games are based on were already quite successful on their own, but they were made even more famous thanks to their video game adaptations. Today, Ubisoft holds the rights to the license, and players are currently enjoying Rainbow Six Siege and The Division 2 while waiting for their successors. We have already discovered a few things about Rainbow Six Extraction, formerly known as Rainbow Six Quarantine, and The Division Heartland at the last Ubisoft Forward, but it seems that the company still has a lot of work to do when it comes to Tom Clancy's.

It's been announced via Twitter that they will be unveiling a new game based on Tom Clancy's universe. And this revelation will take place today at 8 pm CEST. The tweet is accompanied by a very short teaser that shows a first glimpse of the game's graphics, but that's all.

On the other hand, IGN has published another tweet that shows a few seconds of gameplay, and it's pretty clear that the game is a multiplayer FPS. Speculation hasn't really had a chance to get going as this trailer nipped it in the bud. Clearly, those expecting a new Splinter Cell will not get what they want.

On top of that, there was a talk a while ago about a potential crossover between several licenses in Tom Clancy's universe. Last month, VGC mentioned a certain Battlecat, which would be a multiplayer FPS mixing Splinter Cell, The Division, and Ghost Recon. So it's a safe bet to assume that Battlecat, which is just a code name, is what they'll be talking about tonight. To follow the reveal live, you can visit Ubisoft's official Youtube channel at 8 pm.
