We have had the opportunity of watching the new armies in Total War: Warhammer III marching to the war through several videos. From the impressive armored troops under the command of dragons from Grand Cathay and the ferocious and hardened bear-mounted warriors of Kislev to the different hordes of demons under the banners of the four Chaos Gods, the game includes a wide range of options with plenty of new troops to control on the battlefield. Creative Assembly has not been shy when it comes to showing Total War: Warhammer III, but there was a single element that was escaping us: the release date. Fortunately, SEGA revealed yesterday that we will be able to play the game on February 17, 2022.
In the announcement, Total War: Warhammer III chief product officer Rob Bartholomew has also revealed that the game will be part of Xbox Game Pass at launch, so you will have access to the game for free if you are a subscriber.
"It's fantastic to finally put a release date on our epic third instalment. And, in partnering with Xbox Game Pass, we're able to bring the ruinous powers of Chaos to as many players as possible. May all serve within their glorious embrace."
We already knew that there was another faction in Total War: Warhammer III, but in this case, it will arrive in the form of a paid DLC, as it happens with many of the ones in Total War: Warhammer and Total War: Warhammer II. The Ogre Kingdoms will also join the fight, but it's unclear if they will be on the Chaos Gods' side or they will just fight for food. It's well known that ogres would eat almost anything.
