Top Gun expansion is coming for Microsoft Flight Simulator

It's been quite a long while since the Top Gun expansion was revealed at the Xbox Showcase, but developer Asobo has been focused on releasing content updates for the game. Recent updates have improved the detail of many regions in the game by adding plenty of new points of interest, discovery flights, and landing challenges. The expansion should have been out on the occasion of the premiere in cinemas of the new Top Gun: Maverick movie, which was originally set to occur in November after several delays, but the movie was delayed again, and so did the launch of the expansion. Fortunately, it seems that things are in motion again, and Microsoft Flight Simulator's new free expansion will launch in a couple of weeks.

The announcement has been made via Twitter on the official Xbox account, and it even shows some footage of the film.
