Titan Quest II receives first gameplay trailer

Titan Quest II receives first gameplay trailer

THQ Nordic held its annual showcase on Friday, revealing more about its game lineup. Among the announcements was a teaser of a new Darksiders game—though it’s unclear whether it will be Darksiders IV or a new installment—a trailer for Gothic 1 Remake, the reveal of Wreckfest 2, the release date for Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and also the first gameplay preview of the upcoming Titan Quest II.

Titan Quest II is an action RPG with an isometric view, in the style of Diablo but set in Greek mythology. Players can combine two masteries to form a hybrid class, boosting their unique abilities to create a customized hero. The trailer shows how each skill can be altered with modifiers, increasing replayability and giving players more agency in their choices.

Titan Quest II Gameplay Trailer Reveal

Titan Quest II is a game that prioritizes and focuses on exploration. The most curious players will discover hidden bosses, valuable treasure troves, and legendary equipment that will further strengthen their hero, making them a formidable match for the gods of the Greek pantheon. Additionally, Titan Quest II will support up to four players online, further enhancing the versatility of heroes facing countless challenges.

The RPG will also feature a deep customization system, which was not shown in the gameplay trailer. The official website describes how players will be able to transform a seemingly ordinary spear, affix it via crafting with the necessary materials, and turn it into a legendary weapon. All items will have a purpose and serve to enrich and strengthen your build and hybrid class, but to do this, players will need to use divine powers to explore and discover secret areas.

The original Titan Quest was released in 2006. Titan Quest II was announced 17 years after its predecessor, surprising fans. In the second title, players will face Nemesis, the Goddess of Retribution, who has gone mad. She is corrupting the Threads of Fate, and it’s up to you and your divine partners to confront her and change the fate of all.

Titan Quest II doesn’t have a release date yet, but the game has announced its platforms. It will be available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
