The Last of Us Part 1 latest trailer shows off exclusive PC features

With The Last of Us Part 1 coming to PCs today, Naughty Dog unveiled a new trailer featuring the various features available for this version of their acclaimed post-apocalyptic tale. We’ve got a wide array of graphical options, a Speedrun Mode, and even a Permadeath Mode previously introduced in The Last of Us Part 2. Check out the final The Last of Us Part 1 trailer now.

The Last of Us Part 1 will provide options for Vsync, framerate caps, Texture Quality, Shadows, Reflections, Ambient Occlusion, and a host of quality-of-life improvements. It will also support higher aspect ratios for those with ultra-wide and super-wide monitors. Of course, this may take a heavy load on your machine, so make sure you have the specs to match by checking the PC requirements for The Last of Us Part 1.

For speedrunners, the Speedrunner Mode will allow you to time your runs and will display your results on a per-chapter and total playtime basis. And for those looking for more pain, Permadeath makes a return. You can set it to per chapter, per Act, or for the real masochists, Whole Game, which resets your save file on player death.

There are also two New Game+ modes. Full Loadout lets you "play through the game again with all your weapons, upgrades, and recipes obtained in a previous playthrough. Weapons and recipes unlock when Joel retrieves his backpack in Boston.” On the other hand, in Classic, you get only the upgrades from a previous playthrough and weapons and recipes unlock as normal.

The Last of Us Part 1 releases today March 28, 2023. If you are looking to play this masterpiece, check out a The Last of Us Part 1 PC key from our comparator.
