Nintendo has just released the update 2.0 for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and everybody is raving about the new fighter in the character of a Piranha Plant. This is the game’s first post-launch fighter and it's now playable to all players. It is currently up for grabs for those who purchased the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate but only for a limited time. It will only be available for free until January 31st and after that, the Piranha Plant will be a paid DLC. You can unlock your Piranha Plant for free now. You just need to redeem the code given to you by Nintendo and register your copy of the Super Smash Bros Ultimate on or before Thursday, and you are good to go. This code expires tomorrow so be sure to redeem and register by then.
Aside from the new fighter character, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 2.0 update has extended Spirit Board game and now it can be played for up to four players. This patch has also added the ability to make a Short Hop by pressing the jump buttons simultaneously, and it has released a long list of balance tweaks and adjustments. See the patch notes below:
Offline You can now play Spirit Board with up to four players. Select the spirit you want to challenge on the Spirit Board, and then go to Party → Fighter to select the number of people who will play. When playing with multiple people, you will lose the battle if any player is KO’d. The following spirits will now appear in the Shop.Online We adjusted the calculation for Global Smash Power. General Added the DLC fighter Piranha Plant. Piranha Plant will become available for purchase as DLC at a later date. Pressing both jump buttons at the same time will now cause you to short hop. Fixed the issue where the KO score included your teammates’ KOs when Team Attack was On. Game-balance adjustments. Various gameplay fixes.
