The annual Steam Summer Sale is now over, but if you have a fighting game on your wishlist that you missed, you're in luck because Valve has launched a new special event. During the Steam Fighting Fest, dozens of fighting games are available at significant discounts. Additionally, many titles offer free demos, allowing you to try them out without spending any money.
Valve also created a trailer for the event:
Some of the major titles include Mortal Kombat 1, matching its previous lowest price at 28 $/€, and Tekken 8 at 39.89 $/€. However, there are many more discounts to explore.
Several fighting games that were not featured in the Summer Sale are now heavily discounted, including The King of Fighters 15 and Samurai Shodown, which is especially notable after the latter's rollback netcode update earlier this year. Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is also seeing its first notable sale on PC, with both the base game and Deluxe Editions discounted by 40%. Some titles are marked down to their lowest prices ever, with Soul Calibur 6 and Mortal Kombat 11 at 90% off. Interestingly, Capcom is not participating in this sale, so there are no discounts for Street Fighter 6 or Marvel vs. Capcom.
Besides discounts, gamers can enjoy conditionally free games and demo versions of popular titles. All Steam users can also claim free items in the Points Shop, including a Knock Out sticker, an Arms Clash animated avatar, and a Health Bar avatar frame. You can claim yours here.
The Steam Fighting Game Fest event is scheduled to run through July 22 at 10 a.m. PT. With all that being said, in case the games you want are not included, our price comparison tool got you covered as always.
