If there is one pirate-themed game that has managed to gain the fans' love, it's definitely Sea of Thieves. Although some people may think that it may look a bit cartoonish, the MMORPG developed by Rare has made a spot for itself at the top of the popularity charts, and it's home to a big community. Of course, a constant stream of updates that add new events and features to the game contributes a lot to make it quite a fun experience. One of those new events is what occupies us today, as the Shrouded Islands event launches today in Sea of Thieves.

The Shrouded Islands adventure

We already talked a bit about Shrouded Islands when the Sea of Thieves roadmap for 2022 was revealed. This new event will pit players against an invasion of ghostly pirates that are wreaking havoc in the Sea of the Damned under the command of Captain Flameheart. Shrouded Islands adds several storylines that players can follow for fun and plunder, but it also sets the foundation for upcoming chapters of Sea of Thieves' narrative.
