Saints Row shows off wide customization options

The original Saints Row started off as a Grand Theft Auto clone before spinning off into its own wild comedic character. Volition’s upcoming Saints Row remake seems intent on keeping that spirit, given its highly-detailed and potentially hilarious character customization that covers “all aspects of player choice”. Check out the trailer here:

The plethora of customization options available in the game lets you create a Boss character of any age, any body type, and any sense of style. Name it and Saints Row probably has it. Here are just some of the things you can do based on what we’ve seen:

  • Customize your face to any shape, even asymmetrical ones. Add make-up, scars, tattoos, wrinkles, beards, injuries, and more.
  • Choose your own gender expression. Deck out your character with an array of clothing, wigs, hats, underwear, and even socks. You can even wear animal costumes if you’re into that.
  • Alter the colors, tint, sheen, and patterns of your clothing, your weapons, your vehicle, and even your teeth. You can even have fangs if you want them.
  • Customize your character’s private parts and even choose “modesty options” for the genitals and chest area.
  • Apply a variety of skins and decals on your weapons, making them look both fun and unique. Store them in a guitar or umbrella case if you want.
  • Modify your car to look exactly as you want, including paint, decals, dirt, and other parts. Choose from among 80 vehicles and store them at your HQ.
  • Customize your multi-story house according to what you desire. Add statues, change the paint job, and more.

In other words, Saints Row lets “you do you.”
