RTX 5070 Ti users face ‘sold-out’ fear on launch day
Nvidia recently launched its RTX 50-series graphics cards, but the hype surrounding these new GPUs has quickly been overshadowed by severe supply shortages, driving retail prices to skyrocketing levels. Unfortunately, things don’t seem to be looking any better for the RTX 5070 Ti, a highly anticipated mid-range GPU.
According to the latest reports, the RTX 5070 Ti is expected to sell out immediately when it hits shelves this weekend. The RTX 5070 Ti is regarded as one of the best value options in Nvidia’s new Blackwell lineup, promising impressive gaming performance. However, for many gamers, the dream of owning one might slip away.
Social media user @Winterhertz on X shared information from German retailer Alternate, stating that the RTX 5070 Ti’s availability will likely mirror that of the RTX 5080 and 5090, which have already experienced shortages.
Today I leak my chat with alternate germany on instagram, which basically boils down to: Availability of the RTX 5070 Ti on the same level as 5080/5090.^^ pic.twitter.com/yBgaKVl3bV

Given the ongoing global component shortages, this prediction seems entirely plausible, and it’s likely that other countries will face similar supply issues. Other sources have revealed that some retailers may receive as few as 10 to 20 RTX 5070 Ti units on launch day. Additionally, BestBuy has already listed the product at an exorbitant price—nearly $1,000, significantly higher than Nvidia’s $750 MSRP.
The supply shortage will undoubtedly push RTX 5070 Ti prices higher, making it difficult for consumers to get their hands on one. Gamers are advised to wait for performance reviews to gain a clearer perspective before making a purchasing decision.
However, based on what we’ve seen with other Blackwell-series GPUs, the RTX 5070 Ti might only offer a modest upgrade over its predecessor. If prices become excessively inflated, buyers should carefully consider their options before spending their money.
