Rise of the Ronin will let you use many weapons

Team Ninja has its fans accustomed to the exciting gameplay of the Dead or Alive series but the studio will be exploring new paths with Rise of the Ronin. The upcoming open-world action game is set during the Bakumatsu period in Japan, and it will honour one of the bloodiest periods in the history of the country. In the role of a samurai warrior without a master, you will be immersed in a story that leaves aside the supernatural theme explored by the studio in games like Nioh and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. With a solid historical background and a story that evolves depending on your choices and the bonds you establish with the people you meet in the game, Rise of the Ronin aims to become the next hit in the studio's long history.

Deep combat with many options

A new Rise of the Ronin gameplay video released recently offers a detailed view of the combat mechanics in the game. Violence was a common way of solving problems during the Bakumatsu period, and the game accurately represents that. It puts at your disposal a wide range of weapons that include katanas and spears, allowing you to perform spectacular attacks that will shed the blood of your opponents. However, Rise of the Ronin also lets you use other weapons that were not typically used by the samurai warriors, including guns and even a "fire pipe" that acts as a flamethrower of sorts. As a ronin, your character does not have any qualms about using such methods to achieve his goals.

Rise of the Ronin builds on the studio experience with other games where combat is prominent, like Nioh, and it delivers an exciting experience where mastering the use of each weapon is mandatory. The game supports action-based gameplay with a solid story that delves into the intricacies of the Boshin War.

The release of the game is scheduled for March 22 and it will arrive as an exclusive to PlayStation 5. As usual, you can use our comparator to preorder Rise of the Ronin and the best price.
