Ubisoft seems to be having quite a lot more problems than expected to finish the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. The new version of the classic action game was announced in September 2020 and the release has already been postponed a couple of times. This may not come as a surprise for those that have been following the news about the game in the last few months, since it's well known that the graphics of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake didn't quite please a majority of the fans of the Prince of Persia series. Ubisoft India did put the blame on the engine used to create the game, which is the same used for Assassin's Creed. It would not adapt properly to the type of linear gameplay in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake as it was designed for open-world games. Whatever the case is, the studio never associated the postponement of the release of the game with the graphics issues.
We were supposed to be able to play Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake in March 2021, but a recent Tweet from the development team confirms that they need even more time to finish the game.
