Skull and Bones will finally be released next month after one of the longest and most outlandish development processes in the story of video games. The game was completely remade from scratch after years of development and the release has been delayed so many times that the fans even thought that it would never happen. After gaining momentum about a year ago, and several testing phases, Skull and Bones is headed to its official release with an upcoming open beta that will run from February 8 to February 11.
Developer Ubisoft is immersed in the final steps of the promotion of Skull and Bones ahead of the release of the game. One of the biggest concerns about the type of experience that Skull and Bones will offer is the endgame content. The latest video published by the studio delves into this matter and also reveals the kind of content that will be added to the game during its first year.
Skull and Bones will receive a plethora of additional content spread across four seasons. All of them include new activities, additional features, epic battles, and seasonal rewards for players to unlock. The first season, Raging Tides, will pit you against the legendary pirate Philippe La Peste in a challenging battle on the sea. Overall, all the extra content coming to Skull and Bones is designed to expand the game with more things to do when you reach higher levels and it offers you more possibilities to expand your empire while giving you a reason to return to the game.
If you want to become a legendary pirate, the release of Skull and Bones is scheduled for February 16 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. We highly recommend you try the open beta starting in two weeks. Your progress will be limited, but it will carry over if you purchase the game later.
