Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are getting a DLC

Yesterday's Pokémon Presents livestream left us with some announcements about the fan-favorite monster-taming franchise. The juiciest one revealed that the latest installments in the popular series are getting an expansion this year. Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will see their respective stories expanded by a two-part DLC named The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.

The first part of the DLC will launch in autumn under the title The Teal Mask. It will take you to the land of Kitanami on a trip with the school. You will make new friends and also encounter new types of Pokémon to add to your collection. The second part of the DLC, The Indigo Disk, will launch next winter, and it will continue your story at the Blueberry Academy.

New and returning Pokémon

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero will bring three new Pokémons for you to battle and catch. Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. Also, a couple of new legendary Pokémons will be added to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet with the DLC: Ogerpon will arrive with the first part, and Terapagos will be available with the release of The Indigo Disk. Nintendo has confirmed that over 230 Pokémon from older games will appear in the DLC. Considering that Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet have a total of 400 right now, the increase is quite significant and you won´t be short of creatures to catch and train to complete your Pokedex.

There are more novelties not related to the DLC coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet in the future, including a new Tera Raid featuring two new Paradox Pokémon: Walking Wake on Scarlet and Iron Leaves on Violet. They are based on Suicune and Virizion respectively.

If you want to explore a new region in Paldea, the DLC will be up for grabs at the Nintendo eShop ahead of release. To buy the cheapest Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet Switch codes, you can use our comparator anytime.
