Kazuya Mishima and his family are at the core of the story in Tekken 8, but the new installment in the iconic fighting video game series also features many other characters. Paul Phoenix has been a part of the franchise since 1994 as he was in the lineup present in the original Tekken. Since then, we have learned a lot more about this aggressive American biker with a knack for martial arts. After losing the first King of Iron Fist Tournament against Kazuya, he finally claimed his revenge and won the champion title on Tekken 3. He's been a solid challenger for the title in the following years. Tekken 8 will bring the legendary fighter back into the fray with new movements.
You can watch Paul Phoenix in action in a new Tekken 8 gameplay trailer recently released by Capcom. His new biker boy looks are amazing, and he still packs a heavy punch. Paul favors using his fists over kicking or throwing his opponents in combat, as you can see in the video below.
Capcom already confirmed that Tekken 8 won't be part of this year's EVO tournament lineup, but that does not mean that the game won't be present in the event. The first closed alpha test for Tekken 8 will be held at EVO Japan on the last weekend of this month, and more will be following after that. The tests will be offline, but you can apply to participate at the official website, where you will also find additional information about the rest and the new battle system in Tekken 8.
Tekken 8 doesn't have a release date yet, but Capcom is currently focused on its marketing campaign, and we expect to have a lot of additional information about the game in the coming months. As a friendly reminder, the best prices to pre-order a Tekken 8 key for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S are available at our comparator already.
