Dark Soul 3’s Ashes of Ariandel DLC arrives in October

Ashes of Anriandel is the title of upcoming DLC for Dark Souls 3. Bandai Namco and From Software have confirmed officially that it will be available on October 25 for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. It’s going to be the first of the two expansion packs planned for the latest Dark Souls installment, with the second one coming early 2017. Both of them are included in the Season Pass but you can also get them separatedly. Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel – Announcement Trailer Those of you that didn’t have enough with the original game will see the game content expanded with a new location, the frozen wasteland of Ariandel. It’s a barren land defiled by a mysteious evil that you will have to defeat. At your disposal, there will be new weapons, armor sets and magic spells to experiment with. Also, Ashes of Ariandel will include new features for the game competitive multiplayer mode, like a Player vs. Player arena called “Immortal Competition”. We highly doubt that your copy of Dark Souls 3 is forgotten and getting dust somewhere in your room, but even if it’s like that, you should be excited and already be preparing for the extra content coming this fall. Your favourite FPS DOOM is getting a new content update tomorrow on all platforms. The second update for id Software‘s shooter brings two new modes to the game: Exodus is a capture-the-flag mode with moving flags and bases, and Sector is an objective-based mode where you have to capture and hold certain locations to to win. Both modes will be available to all players at no cost and also experience earned will be double for the weekend. The update also includes new capabilities for SnapMap, like a new jump pads, hell-themed modules, a customizable weapon wheel functionality and more. DOOM – Big Updates, New Content and PartyPlay Bethesda has also announced the release of the first premium DLC for the game next week. Into the Evil will launch on August 5 and comes with three new maps, a new playable demon, a batch of customization options for your marine, a brand new weapon and more hack modules. If you are concerned about being forced to purchase it or having to stay out of some matches you don’t have to worry, because a new feature called PartyPlay will allow you to play on a new map as long as you are grouped with someone that has purchased the DLC. Gamer’s rejoice! China lifts ban on consoles

This week the Wall Street Journal reported that China’s Ministry of Culture released a statement with the news that game consoles can now be manufactured and sold freely in the asian country. Previously it was only permitted at the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, effectively choking a market estimated at 22,2 billion just this year. The ban was put in place in 2000, with China quoting ” concern of the potential harm to its younger generation ” and of “threatening state security, damaging the nation’s glory, disturbing social order and infringing on others’ legitimate rights .” Having been limited previously to only PC and Mobile phone games, companies like Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft expect to finally tap into a huge market. Electronic Arts has announced that the next expansion for Star Wars Battlefront will be available on September 20th. The Death Star will be the third DLC for the shooter developed by DICE and it will include new maps, heroes, Star Cards and weapons. You can watch a livestream preview of the expansion tomorrow at 11AM PDT during Star Wars Celebration event. It’s the name for the offline mode that players have been asking for. You will be able to play in solo mission or in cooperative mode against bots with two different difficulty modes. “With multiple locations that span the galaxy, from the frozen planet of Hoth to the lava encrusted planet of Sullust, we hope Skirmish brings players a new way to enjoy Star Wars Battlefront,” explained Star Wars Battlefront lead designer Dennis Brannvall.
