Mighty No. 9 release date revealed
Sep 26, 2016, 6:22 PM Fyra Frost
Some time ago we all were glad to hear that Keiji Inafune, the father of Mega Man, was working on a new project. It was even better when we knew that this new platform game was going to be the spiritual sucessor of the world famous console title that many of us have played for countless hours. The expectation for the launch of a title like that was so big that Mighty No. 9 managed to get sucessfully crowfunded through Kickstater quite fast, raising over $4.000.000 total. Mighty No. 9 – Gameplay Footage – July 2014 There is no doubt that the successful creation of this title is based on the popularity of Mega Man series and the similarities of the new game with the old franchise. Developer Comcept anounces Mighty No. 9 as a “Classic Japanese side-scrolling action, evolved and transformed by Keiji Inafune, an all-star team of veteran Mega Man devs..”, and it’s working like a charm for them. After a couple of initial delays publisher Deep Silver has announced that Mighty No. 9 is getting a new release date in February 2016, (the intended launch date for backers was originally April 2015). It will launch in Americas on 9th February and 3 days later in Europe. The game will be available on physical and digital versions for Playstation 4, Xbox One and Wii U, but only in digital version for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. PS Vita and Nintendo DS versions seem to be in the works but no release date has been announced for them so far. The post Mighty No. 9 release date revealed appeared first on .

Aug 27, 2016, 6:27 PM Fyra Frost
Barely 12 hours has been the time needed for developer Larian Studios to reach their goal and get enough cash for the developement of Divinity: Original Sin 2. Looks like a load of people were just waiting for the launch of their Kickstarter campaign with their wallets ready, because as soon as it was out they had already donated about $500,000. By the end of the day they got up to $650,000. Divinity: Original Sin 2 Kickstarter Pitch This great success has been totally unexpected for the developers. So much that they have had to make a video update to announce that they are not even ready yet to talk about the details of their stretch goals. Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Kickstarter Update 1: Funded! The first Divinity: Original Sin was undeniably a big hot and one of the best role-playing games that has been published lately, critically acclaimed by the fans of the genre. This one will expand multiplayer gameplay options for up to 4 different players that will either cooperate or compete with the others. Deep story, polished turn-based combat and awesome graphics complete qualities that the next installment of the series aims to share with the original one. According to the speed that the game has been funded, it’s undeniable that the turn-based RPG genre is far from dead, and we are very happy for that! Salvation, Black Ops 3’s last DLC unveiled
Aug 25, 2016, 7:00 PM Fyra Frost
Treyarch has revealed the contents and the release date for the fourth and final expansion pack planned for their shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. With the name of Salvation, this new DLC includes four multiplayer maps and the last episode of the Zombies storyline, pretty much following the same format as the previous three. “In Revelations, we meet up with the Origins characters after they’ve taken an epic journey through space and time–all of their struggles lead to this very moment. In this, the final chapter of the Zombies experience, Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo, and Nikolai finally come face to face with the mysterious Doctor Monty in The House. Confronted by an ancient evil, our heroes must fight the zombie horde once more in the final battle to save their immortal souls,” reads the press release. Call of Duty®: Black Ops III – Revelations Prologue The multiplayer maps included in the pack are a mix of new designs and remakes of one of the most iconic Call of Duty: World at War scenarios. In this case the first reworked one is Rupture, based on the Outskirts map, where the old buildings have been remade as a hi-tech facility. The other three maps will allow us to visit quite different places that range from the ruins of a medieval castle in Citadel, to a giant well-stocked family picnic table in Micro, (yes! a giant picnic table as battlefield!), or even a western-style re-imagining of the fan-favorite map Standoff from Call of Duty: Black Ops II in the map called Outlaw. Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 – Salvation is scheudled for release on September 6th for Playstation 4 exclusively. If you want to play it on your PC or Xbox One you will have to wait until October to do so. It is included in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Season Pass but you can also purchase it separatedly. Vermintide arrives to consoles this fall
Jul 27, 2016, 6:32 PM Fyra Frost
Warhammer Fantasy Battles tabletop game has become the perfect inspiration for many games over the years. Games like Shadow of the Horned Rat, Dark Omen, Mark of Chaos, Mordheim: City of the Dammed or Age Of Reckoning have become perfect examples of titles that have managed to capture the essence of Games Workshop’s miniature game and successfully turn it into a good videogame. In most cases those titles have been strategy games, so it was quite refreshing to see Fatshark Studio take a different approach when they created Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide as a first person shooter. They did a great job and released what’s probably the best co-operative multiplayer game of last year with more than half a million players. If fighting against endless hordes of Skaven for the city of Ubersreik is not motivating enough, Vermintide has a fluid gameplay, their five classes are unique and quite different from each other, it has a solid combat system with easy-to-grab/difficult-to-master mechanics, and manages to do all that being quite faithful to the franchise and mantaining game immersion. All that makes you want to have more after eatch match. Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide | Console Announcement Trailer Today Fatshark have announced that they will finally release Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide on Playstation 4 and Xbox One this fall, more exactly on October 4. Nordic Games will be the company in charge of the Worldwide distribution of the physical editions, that will also include Sigmar’s Blessing and Drachenfels DLC. All we can say is that, it was about time! The post Vermintide arrives to consoles this fall appeared first on News, updates from the DLCompare.com Blog.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 demo looks awesome!
Jul 22, 2016, 8:27 PM Fyra Frost
City Interactive Games has made public the demonstration video that was shown behind closed doors during the E3 2015. It was available for press members only but now we all get a chance to see what they have been working on for the third installment of the tactical shooting series. Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 Developer Commentary Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3’s lead narrative designer, Jess Lebow, guides us through the video with his comments where he explains some aspects of the gameplay and what they aim for on this new AAA title. The use of a drone for exploration and information gathering takes a very important role on this specific mission, and the trailer shows that a meticulous preparation can make things much easier when we are trying to locate and eliminate a target without being killed in the process. There are some aspects of the game that could use some polishing but it definitely looks good and shows enough potential to be a great shooting title for those that like commandos. It happened again. Total War: Warhammer has been a success and any tiny bit of information about the game is made publig as soon as it leaks. SEGA should put a little bit more of effort if they do not want things revealed ahead of their plans. It turns out that upcoming DLC for their strategy game based on the Warhammer universe is going to have the Beastmen as protagonists as shown in the video that has been leaked. There is not much info about the characteristics of this new faction. Each of the hunters has a specialized role and cooperation is a must if you want to live through the hunt.   Evolve Those that already own the game will be granted the “Founder” status along with extra rewards and keeping all the content they already owned. Total War: Warhammer blood & gore DLC is out
Jul 1, 2016, 6:33 PM Fyra Frost
Developer Creative Assembly keeps adding more stuff to their recently released title of strategic battles inspired on the Warhammer Fantasy Battles tabletop miniatures game. This time they have released a new DLC that provides exactly what you can read on its name, Blood for the Blood God. The theme selected to announce this gruesome addon couldn’t be more appropiate, since Khorne is the Chaos God of blood, war, rage and murder.   Total War: WARHAMMER – Blood for the Blood God Trailer This DLC adds a list of all new effects and features that will make the game more realistic, (in a bloody way at least): Blood spurts Gory spatter on unit models Limb and head dismemberment (humanoids and non-legendary characters) Zombies, skeletons and Grave Guard may continue to fight after dismemberment! Explosive Gibbing from deadly mid-torso strikes Blood-drenched UI elements New random, global campaign events that generate greater carnage in battle   Someone could argue that they are being cheap, selling something that should have been in Total War: Warhammer from the start. But you have to keep in mind that if something like this was included in the base game it would have been rated for older people, making it available to less people. Maybe adding it as a toggle option with an age confirmation check requirement would have been the solution? Other than that, Creative Assembly keeps polishing this jewel of a game with their first big update that comes loaded with balance changes, performance fixes, multiplayer maps and a new type of cavalry unit for the Vampire Counts army, the Blood Knights. You can read all the changes implemented in the patch notes. Now it’s time for my Chaos army to continue crushing all hope and spreading corruption through the Old World, hoping that they keep steady that flow of updates and free stuff. “Blood for the Blood God!
