Migrating your GTA Online profile is a risky business

Migrating your GTA Online profile is a risky business

Rockstar Games isn't exactly having its best moments when it comes to Grand Theft Auto. Not too long ago, the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition was was subject to hostile critics due to the poor state of the remastered version of the classics. The compilation's games suffered from all kinds of performance problems and visual bugs that left players with a sour aftertaste. It took a while, but Rockstar managed to fix the majority of the issues, and now it's focused on the release of GTA Online in next-gen consoles.

The new version of the multiplayer side of Grand Theft Auto V is specifically designed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and it features new graphic modes and visual upgrades, along with support for resolutions of up to 4K. HDR, ray tracing, and more. It's a very interesting option for those that play the game on consoles because you can migrate your GTA Online profile by using a Rockstar Social club account, transferring all your characters, progression, in-game cash, vehicles, and more.

Migration issues

But not all players are currently able to do so. Rockstar has detected that players that previously migrated their GTA Online accounts from Xbox One or PlayStation 4 to PC can't transfer them to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The confirmation has arrived via Twitter, and they are already trying to get it fixed.

The process to transfer your GTA Online profile is quite easy, and you can check it out on the Rockstar support section. If you are not being blocked from completing it, you should be able to enjoy GTA Online on your next-gen console without a problem already. IF not, you will have to wait for a while or start all over. In any case, you can find the best price to buy your GTA Online code with our comparator.
