We already know that Little Nightmares was received with a very warm welcome but on the eve of the release of its sequel, Little Nightmares 2, all the fans have their eyes set on the new game. According to Bandai Namco, Little Nightmares has sold over 3 million copies but it will soon be time to give way to its successor, as Little Nightmares 2 will launch tomorrow on PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. A release on next-gen consoles is also slated for later this year.
Of course, the release of a video game comes accompanied by a launch trailer. Bandai Namco has published a new video that shows us a little more about Little Nightmares 2, and where we can see Mono's face for the first time. Unsurprisingly, the video emphasizes the dreadful atmosphere that made a success of the previous game and that reminisces of games like Limbo.
The main difference between the first game and this one is that in Little Nightmares 2 you don't control Six but Mono. Together they will have to face a perilous journey to finally uncover the secrets of the transmitter tower. The recipe remains the same as in the previous game: nightmarish monsters and an immersive atmosphere thanks to graphics and neat music. However, the novelty of playing with two characters will completely change the gameplay. Even though Six is controlled by the AI, she will be able to interact with Mono to overcome certain obstacles or solve puzzles.
If you want to get a taste of what Little Nightmares 2 has in store for you, a free demo that allows you to play for about twenty minutes is available on all platforms.
