Gamescom 2020 has not been the meeting we were used to, and COVID 19 pandemic has forced it to become an online event in which plenty of upcoming video games have been shown. One of those is Little Nightmares 2. The sequel to Tarsier Studios' horror adventure from 2016 was announced a while ago, but we had not been able to discover too much about its gameplay. Thanks to the video revealed yesterday, we can now delve a bit deeper into what Little Nightmares 2 has to offer, and discover what kind of surprises the game has in store for us.
The first thing that comes to our attention is the new character that will be present in Little Nightmares 2. Six, also known as the girl of the yellow raincoat, has managed to escape from the Maw, and she has met Mono, a strange boy that covers his head with a paper bag. Together they will have to navigate through the Pale City and reach the Black Tower to face the Thin Man. Of course, they will find a lot of new enemies along the way but also some other characters that may help them in their journey. The creepy and mysterious atmosphere of the original game will also be an important part of Little Nightmares 2. Mono and Six will have to cooperate to survive through this adventure and reach their goal, or they will be doomed to fall victim to one of the countless traps and enemies that they will have to face.
Little Nightmares 2 follows the formula used by its predecessor and combines horror and platforms in a very unusual way to deliver a captivating experience that will get you glued to your screen. Along with the new trailer, Bandai Namco has revealed the official release date for Little Nightmares 2, which will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on February 11, 2021. A version for next-gen consoles will be ready at a later date but all those that have purchased the game by then will have a free upgrade.
