Last year’s top "Soulslike" game, Lies of P, has officially announced an upgraded version for the forthcoming PlayStation 5 Pro. Building on the incredible success of Elden Ring, Lies of P emerged as a perfect successor for the Soulslike genre.
The PlayStation 5 Pro, revealed last month, brings increased power with a price tag of $699, pushing Sony to introduce major improvements to popular games on the console to entice buyers. Several titles, including Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, are set to receive PS5 upgrades. Fans also caught a glimpse of Aloy's revamped look in the PS5 remake of Horizon: Zero Dawn.
Neowiz has confirmed that Lies of P will be among the games receiving a PlayStation 5 Pro upgrade. In an interview with Eurogamer, game director Jiwon Choi provided insights into the upcoming enhancements for Lies of P on PS5 Pro.

"We believe that frame rate truly matters the most in a premium action RPG. The precision and fluidity required for this genre are critical to the combat experience. Thanks to the PS5 Pro's outstanding performance, we're able to maintain an optimal frame rate at 4K, ensuring the gameplay feels as smooth and responsive as it should," Choi shared, explaining that this upgrade will elevate the game’s performance. Furthermore, Quality Mode will now “benefit from more than a 30 percent increase in FPS, delivering smoother, more fluid gameplay,” while Performance Mode will support native 4K resolution, thanks to the PS5 Pro’s outstanding capabilities.
With these upgrades, Lies of P fans can look forward to a high-resolution experience without sacrificing performance. The game’s director also recently shared updates on the development of Lies of P’s first DLC. According to recent rumors, the sequel might explore an open-world format, raising anticipation for how it will fare alongside the iconic Elden Ring.
