Lies of P was a very grateful surprise for many lovers of the Souls-like genre last year. Not only did the game offer a dark and original look at Pinocchio's tale, but it also delivered a solid gameplay experience that was acclaimed by a huge community. Soon after the game was released, there were rumours about an upcoming DLC that would expand the story and introduce novelties to the game. Also, some rumours pointed at a possible sequel given the success of the game. Well, soon after those appeared developer NEOWIZ confirmed that it was already working on the expansion for the first game alongside a sequel to Lies of P. However, not much has been revealed about these since then.

Recently, Lies of P director Jiwan Choi has commented on this matter via a publication on X where he shares some details about the upcoming expansion. A year has passed since Lies of P was released and there's a big community wondering how the development is going. Choi has confirmed that the student continues working on the new content, which is proving to be more difficult than expected. They even have sought the aid of other development teams, but the perspectives seem to be quite promising, especially considering that Lies of P already delivers an outstanding experience.

 

 

“For the DLC of the Lies of P and the sequel, we aim to do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow. It might sound simple, but I that sticking to the basics is anything but easy. Thankfully, I have amazing colleagues in whom I can place my full trust. Team NOUGH and ROUND8 Studio."

Unfortunately, that's all Choi shared, and we are left orphan of a release date or any other juicy information regarding the future release of the Lies of P expansion or its sequel. Hopefully, this may change soon as it would be great news for the fans.
