It Takes Two has sold over a million copies

Released just one month ago, It Takes Two took the gamble of offering gameplay that could only be played cooperatively. Most games that allow two players to play in cooperation also are playable solo most of the time. This is not the case with It Takes Two. This choice, which may have surprised many players, seems to have paid off, as It Takes Two has sold over a million copies already.

It is certainly far from blockbusters such as Cyberpunk 2077, whose figures were recently revealed by CD Projekt Red, but it must be said that It Takes Two does not play in the same league, and it offers a very different experience that is unique in its kind. Hazelight announced the good news via its official Twitter account, thanking players in the process.

It Takes Two is a co-op-only game that puts you in the shoes of May and Cody, whose marriage is in shambles. They're considering splitting up but their daughter Rose doesn't see it that way, and with the help of Dr. Hakim, a romance novel that has come to life, a spell is put on her parents turning them into dolls. To regain their normal size they will have to face the dangers of a world that is now disproportionate to them and that they cannot face alone.

Although It Takes Two requires two players, you only need one copy of the game to share the experience. With the Friend Pass, a second player can join the game for free, locally or online.
