inXile reveals its new game: Clockwork Revolution

The American video game developer has a lot of fans due to its work on titles like the reboot of The Bard's Tale Trilogy, Wasteland 3, and Torment: Tides of Numenera. We knew that it was working on an unannounced project, but it was finally made public a few days ago. Clockwork Revolution is a first-person action RPG set in a steampunk Victorian city ruled by a ruthless tyrant.

A time travel adventure

In Clockwork Revolution, the story of the city of Avalon has been changed to turn it into what it is today. Lady Ironwood, your antagonist and the villain of the game, has tampered with the events in the current timeline with a time travel device.

Your mission in the game is to use such a device to change the present by influencing the past, pretty much like she did. Of course, your actions in the past will have unexpected consequences that you will have to deal with when you return back to the present. Not only the situation will change but also the way people react to you.

With a deep and engaging narrative at the core and a unique steampunk setting that reminisces of the universe depicted in Bioshock Infinite games. Clockwork Revolution aims to deliver a thrilling and reactive experience where the world around you and the story can radically change depending on your decisions. By using time travel as a tool, Clockwork Revolution will allow you to immerse in a world with endless possibilities.
