Unveiled earlier this month by Nintendo, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will allow us to discover the events leading up to the story of the latest installment in the cult license, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild.
In the first trailer of the game, we had the opportunity of discovering a bit of information about the game, in particular when and where it takes place, as well as the presence of Champions as playable characters. But the most important piece of information was the release date of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which is coming very soon since the launch is set for November 20 on Nintendo Switch.
During the Tokyo Game Show, we were able to learn a few new things about Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity in a new trailer that also shows a 15-minutes gameplay sequence.
In addition to Zelda, Link, Mipha, Revali, Urbosa, and Daruk, Impa will also be playable in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. Yes, we are talking about the grumpy grandmother of Kakariko village, but she is a hundred years younger in the game. We also get a glimpse of the powers and abilities that she can use in combat, such as creating clones of herself or using her parasail to glide, but also those used by Link, who can destroy enemies with his sword but also with bombs.
Although the game is not really a main installment in The Legend of Zelda series - the Hyrule Warriors games are crossovers with the Dynasty Warriors license from which they borrow their much more dynamic gameplay - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is part of the same universe as Breath of The Wild and it even keeps its graphic style. It looks like it will be the perfect link between the first installment and its sequel, which shouldn't arrive until 2021.
