Earlier this year, developer Blackbird Interactive (Minecraft Legends) announced that they would delay the release of Homeworld 3 to May 13th, initially scheduled for March 8th. The goal was to enhance and refine the game until its final release. This time, Homeworld 3 will be launched in May because the game is sharing its updated roadmap and PC system requirements.
The year one roadmap of Homeworld 3 will be divided between free and paid content. Here's what players can expect in the year after launch:
The free content will be available to all players, while the paid content is only for those who purchase the Collector's Edition of Homeworld 3 or the Year One Pass.
Blackbird Interactive also released new PC system requirements. The developer intended to optimize the game's performance before its release, and apparently, they succeeded, as the recommended specs decreased compared to the previous version of Homeworld 3.
Minimum (1080p)
Recommended (1080p)
High (1440p)
Ultra (2160p)
There are also PC Requirements for Ray Tracing on Low, High, and Ultra. The first two are similar to the standard requirements, but the Ultra requires an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 TI S or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX with 16GB VRAM, a beast-shaped GPU.
Homeworld 3 will soon be among us. The game is confirmed to be released on May 13th or May 10th for buyers of the Collector's version. You can keep an eye on our comparator for the best deals on Homeworld 3 and experience the new War Games mode.
