The Epic Games Store is currently offering another game developed by Amanita Design for free. Following last week's giveaway of Botanicula, the platform is now allowing users to claim Chuchel as part of this week's promotion. As usual, you have a week to permanently add this latest title to your library.
Chuchel comes from the same studio responsible for popular titles like Machinarium, Botanicula, and the Samorost series. Released in 2018, this point-and-click adventure tells a humorous story about a dust ball and a cherry that has been stolen from him.
Upon its launch seven years ago, Chuchel achieved a strong Metacritic score of 81. Additionally, it holds a Very Positive rating on Steam, where 83 percent of 3,374 user reviews have rated the game favorably. Notably, these reviews are unaffected by its current free status since they were submitted on Steam, where the game has never been offered for free.
Set across 30 levels, this award-winning indie title presents a variety of puzzles for players to solve as Chuchel and his competitor Kekel strive to retrieve the cherry from the giant hand that keeps snatching it away. In addition to the adventure aspects, several mini-games are incorporated into certain levels as parodies of other well-known franchises.
For those interested in trying out Chuchel while it’s available for free to download and keep on PC via the Epic Games Store, be aware that it typically takes about two to three hours to complete, which is reflected in its regular price of $9.99.
The Chuchel giveaway on the Epic Games Store is currently live and will continue until next Thursday, May 1. Looking ahead, Super Space Club will be the next free game offered. As always, don’t forget to utilize our comparator to find the best prices on games that may soon become your favorites.
