Even though Ghost of Tsushima didn't have multiplayer as its primary focus at launch, the adventure developed by Sucker Punch gained a whole new dimension once Legends was released. Fighting against the Mongol invaders as a lone samurai that has to throw away everything he believed in order to defeat his enemies and develop a brand new style of fighting was already exciting enough, but the possibility of delving into multiplayer mode and sharing the fun with other players in cooperative missions for up to 4 people took the gameplay to a different level. The multiplayer part of Ghost of Tsushima, known as Legends is now becoming a standalone title and will get brand new features in the coming weeks.
Ghost of Tsushima Legends will expand its content with new features at launch, including a new Rivals gameplay mode that will pit two pairs of players against each other. Also, a new gear mastery progression system will allow you to develop your character even further, and new cosmetics will add more customization options. You can take a peek at the Rivals mode in the video below.
Ghost of Tsushima Legends will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on September 3, and developer Sucker Puch has already stated that it will be adding even more features to the game in the weeks following the launch, including brand new multiplayer maps. If you have not tried Ghost of Tsushima yet, Legends could be a suitable option for you to enjoy the amazing visuals and gameplay of the game, but if you want to immerse yourself in an epic adventure and have access to the best of both worlds, we highly recommend that you get the main game and play through the single-player campaign. It's really worth it.
