Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut officially confirms its release date on PC!

Ghost of Tsushima is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Players take on the role of Jin Sakai, a samurai tasked with protecting the island of Tsushima from the first Mongol invasion of Japan. The game was released for PlayStation 4 on July 17, 2020.

Ghost of Tsushima features a third-person perspective and stealth-action gameplay. With its expansive open world, players can freely explore, eliminate enemy strongholds, or complete missions to learn more about the game world. In combat, players can engage enemies directly with melee weapons or perform assassinations to quickly dispatch foes. The game offers a variety of weapons for players to approach combat in their own way, including close-range katana, distracting firecrackers, smoke bombs, kunai, ...

Upon release, the game received very positive reviews from critics and players alike. Ghost of Tsushima won the Special Award for Graphics and Sound at the Game Critics Awards in July 2018. In 2018, it was nominated for Most Anticipated Game at the Golden Joystick Awards. At the 38th Golden Joystick Awards in 2020, the game was nominated for Best Audio, Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design, and PlayStation Game of the Year, while Sucker Punch was nominated for Studio of the Year. The game led the nominations for The Game Awards 2020, including Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, and Best Performance for Tsuji Daisuke.

After four years of anticipation, on March 6, 2024, Sony finally unveiled the trailer for the Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut PC version:

 


Similar to the Director's Cut version for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, this PC version will expand upon the original game with new features:

With the game being released on PC, players will now be able to experience Ghost of Tsushima with unlimited FPS, with support for various widescreen monitors: Ultrawide (21:9), Super Ultrawide (32:9), and 48:9 Triple Monitor. The game will also be supported by advanced technologies to enhance performance such as NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3, and Intel XeSS. Additionally, NVIDIA Reflex and NVIDIA DLAA advanced image enhancement technology will also be supported.
