If you are a seasoned fan of the Borderlands series you are probably not concerned about the rather low success of the film it has inspired. Although the film was quite faithful to the first Borderlands in many aspects, its bad results in cinemas did not have any impact on the future of the popular FPS series. In fact, the film has increased the sales of Borderlands games because it has generated a certain interest in the franchise for new players. The final proof of Borderlands being very alive is the expectation that the latest announcement made by Gearbox Software has generated-

The Game Awards 2024

Every The Game Awards ceremony is followed by many players willing to find out what game gets the coveted Game of the Year Award. However, the event is also the source of important announcements. This year, Borderlands 4 will undoubtedly be one of the stars at the event, even tho no Borderlands game is nominated. Gearbox has confirmed via X (previously Twitter) that a new trailer showcasing Borderlands 4 will be presented during the event. Such a relevant announcement has left the fans of the series eager to know more, as it may also be accompanied by the announcement of a possible release date for the game.

 

 

So far, the only information we had about Borderlands 4 was all the speculation that a teaser released a few months ago generated. Any details about the story or hints about novelties gameplay that the game will bring to the franchise will be more than welcome.
