FUT to be revamped in FIFA 23?

A few days ago, EA was in the news with its sudden announcement to cut the existing partnership with FIFA, revealing the new name of the license in the future: EA Sports FC. However, before this change takes place, fans of the franchise will be able to get their hands on a FIFA one last time with the release of FIFA 23 in the second half of 2022. This latest installment is likely to shake up players' habits, especially regarding their favorite FUT mode.

The removal of the affinity system?

As a reminder, the FUT mode allows players to create their team thanks to the player cards they own, the goal being to build the strongest team possible. FUT has a system of affinity and collective between players to regulate this mode and the balancing of teams, so if several players belong to the same nationality, club, or league, their affinity will be stronger, and their statistics will increase accordingly. This system is not to be taken lightly and is a fundamental strategy in the making of a team. However, this could change with FIFA 23.

The information is only a leak now, but it comes from a FIFA regular who is none other than Weaver. According to him, the individual stats boost system will disappear in the next FIFA to give more freedom to the players. It would be replaced by a star system that could go up to 3 stars to boost a team. That's not all. According to the leaker, all nations and leagues would now work together for player affinity. If this is true, then the affinity possibilities will drastically increase.

Of course, it's best to wait for EA to confirm this potential new system for FUT. Until we know more, you can always get a FIFA 22 key or get FUT points at the best price with our comparison tool.
