Last night, Final Fantasy fans could enjoy an exceptional Showcase dedicated to the 25th anniversary of FF7. In addition to announcing the sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake, called Rebirth, a worthy anniversary could not be achieved without another big surprise. Unfortunately, this one was leaked a few hours before the presentation, so some of the fans didn't get the surprise effect they were looking for, but the others could get excited about the announcement of a remaster of Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core.
There is a reason for the fans to be excited. The original game was only available on the PSP in 2007, and it's typically the kind of title that is difficult to discover or rediscover nowadays. But this problem will be solved soon as Square Enix has announced the release of a remaster of the game on all current platforms, namely PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. There is already a first trailer available. The remaster will feature improved 3D models, dubbed dialogues, and new musical arrangements.
For those who still don't know what the game is about, it's a spin-off focusing on Zack seven years before the start of Final Fantasy VII. His adventure is an interesting prequel in terms of lore as we learn about important characters such as Cloud, Yuffie, Sephiroth, and Aerith.
We won't say more to avoid spoilers, but in any case, the title should arrive this winter for the platforms listed above. In the meantime, if you want to follow Cloud's adventure, then you can find a Final Fantasy 7 Remake key at the best price with our comparator, either for Playstation consoles or PC.
