EA officially revealed EA Sports FC 25 in a trailer, their next entry in the renowned football video game franchise. The video also announced a release date for the title, set to arrive on September 27 for all consoles, including those from the previous generation and PC. Buyers of the Ultimate Edition will enjoy early access one week prior.
The trailer focuses more on spectacle than gameplay. Yet, it offers glimpses of EA Sports FC 25's key innovations, featuring heightened crowd intensity, diverse weather conditions during matches, even more realistic player animations, and a strong emphasis on tactical gameplay. The message "celebrate, tackle, save, win, everything for the club" flashes across the screen before the video concludes. Following the reveal, the game's official website also went live. According to the description on the page, EA Sports FC 25 will feature over 700 teams across more than 120 stadiums and over 30 leagues. In total, there will be more than 19,000 players to choose from, encompassing both male and female teams, maintaining the same standards set by EA Sports FC 24.
Before the trailer, EA had announced on X (formerly Twitter) the cover athletes for EA Sports FC 25's Ultimate Edition. Among them were athletes such as Gianluigi Buffon, Aitana Bonmati, Jude Bellingham, Zidane, and David Beckham. Now, as confirmed by the trailer, Jude Bellingham will also be the star on the standard edition cover. For comparison, the cover star in EA Sports FC 24 was Erling Haaland, a Norwegian footballer.
