Those who love real-time strategy games feel at home with Dune: Spice Wars. Shiro Games has done an exceptional job accurately representing the landscapes of Arrakis and the different factions fighting to control the Spice production on the desertic planet. The game features exciting mechanics that contribute to creating quite an appropriate atmosphere while you play the game, but it still has a long way ahead. Dune: Spice Wars is already available via Early Access on Steam and will receive many updates in the coming months. The developer already detailed some of the contents coming to the game in a roadmap, and it's currently sticking to it in time and form.
As announced, Dune: Spice Wars has just received a major update that adds multiplayer to the game. You can now take part in 2v2 battles or fight for domination with up to four players in free-for-all mode. Just pick one of the four factions currently available in the game, namely Atreides, Harkonnen, Fremen, and Smugglers, and customize your preferences before you jump into the fray. The AI will control a faction if you can't find a player that plays with it.
Other than multiplayer games, the latest Dune: Spice Wars update adds new regions, events, and buildings, as well as more resolutions to play the game. Some of the mechanics in the game have been reworked, and several changes have been made to make the factions more balanced. Overall, Shiro Games is working hard with the help of the fans to get Dune: Spice Wars to the appropriate level of quality and performance. The gameplay experience it offers is quite good for a game that entered Early Access not too long ago, but there's a lot of potential. We can't wait to see what else Shiro Games has in store for us.
