Despite BioWare announcing that the studio has no plans to release any DLC for Dragon Age: The Veilguard in the near future, this does not mean that it has completely abandoned the game. The actual state of the game is not that bad at all but it could use some technical improvements and BioWare will address some of the problems it has with the upcoming patch. While the full patch notes will be disclosed later this week, probably alongside the release of the first big update for the game, we already know a few details of what the changes will entitle.
BioWare has already shared a few examples of the changes in the patch, which include fixes to the customization system, a bug with companion's skill points and more. A publication on X reveals the info and also confirms that the patch will be available for all platforms later this week.

It's worth noticing that BioWare has not confirmed if it intends to significantly change Dragon Age: The Veilguard due to the huge wave of bad critics and the low score of the game on Metacritic. Certain aspects of the game, namely its inclusiveness, have negatively influenced many votes on a platform that allows you to leave your opinion even if you have not played the game. The reality is that the reviews coming from specialized press and the overall valuation of the game on other platforms that do require you to have experience with the game to allow you to cast a vote, like Steam, are fairly positive.
At the end of the day, Dragon Age: The Veilguard may not be the game many were expecting it to be, and this may even have had an impact on BioWare's decision to be totally focused on the new Mass Effect instead of developing additional post-launch content for the game. However, it does not make the game bad by any means. If you want to check it out yourself, our comparator has all the best deals on Dragon Age: The Veilguard CD keys.
