Cyberpunk 2077 is received with mixed feelings

After 8 long years in development by CD Projekt Red, gamers around the world will finally be able to get their hands on Cyberpunk 2077 and immerse themselves in the world born from Mike Pondsmith's imagination. After several twists and turns when it comes to the game's release date, CD Projekt Red has gone all out in terms of promotion in recent weeks, and the hype around Cyberpunk 2077 is at its height just 2 days before the official release.

The pre-load of the game, which became available last week for Xbox gamers, has now arrived on all platforms. As gamers who have already pre-ordered Cyberpunk 2077 are downloading it for D-Day, ratings and reviews are starting to appear as well, and opinions seem to be mixed.

Although everyone seems to agree that Cyberpunk 2077 is awesome in many ways, it does seem like the game suffers from a lot of bugs. The problem is that a first patch of about 30 GB has already been shipped with the copies available to the press and testers, and it appears to be nowhere near enough to fix all the problems. CD Projekt Red is expected to release a new Day One patch, as is the case with most games of this caliber these days, but it will likely take a few more months for everything to be fixed. This is pretty much what many gamers feared when the studio announced a new postponement as the game went Gold.

On the bright side, despite all of these issues, those who have been able to get their hands on the game are almost unanimous about the epic level of immersion that Cyberpunk 2077 provides thanks to its rich history and the bustling life of Night City.
