The Crysis name is automatically associated with awesome graphics in the world of Video games. After all, the games in the Crysis series are renowned for being used as a benchmark to test the performance of GPUs and hardware. If you wanted to test the limits of your PC, there was nothing better than running Crysis. It was like that for so many years that it's almost granted that every new Crysis game will be able to squeeze out every drop of performance of the most advanced hardware of its time. It happened with Crysis 2, Crysis 3, and even Crysis Remastered, and somehow it has become a factor even more important than the gameplay or the plot of the games in the series.
When Crysis Remastered was released last year, there were some rumors about a new installment being in the works, but developer Crytek never confirmed anything about it. Happily enough, the studio has given us a surprise by announcing Crysis 4 via Twitter, with a short teaser that leaves everyone wondering about the game.
It's time to join the journey and be the hero.

Following the announcement, social media has become full of memes and comments about hardware upgrades, Nvidia needing to launch new GPU cards to handle the game, and more. Everyone is sure that Crysis 4 is going to become the next benchmark to test hardware for the next ten years, and we hope that they are right. After all, it's what Crysis is famous for.
We expect that Crytek will reveal more details about the upcoming game in the following months. To be honest, we are more interested in watching some footage than in knowing more about the story or the gameplay. It's not that the games in the Crysis series are not good; it's just that the quality level of their graphics is just insane.
