Since Concord was announced, the interest in the upcoming team-based shooter has been increasing exponentially. The exciting features revealed are responsible for that, but the general disappointment with Overwatch 2 and other similar games may also have to do with it- many players are looking for a new home where they can take part in exciting FPS battles, and Concord could be it. As we revealed last month, developer Firewalk Studios is hosting a beta event that is divided into several phases. A beta open to all players will kick off later this month, but those who are PlayStation Plus members can get a head start with the Early Access beta and try the game as soon as today.
Originally, today's beta was only going to be available to those who pre-ordered Concord on PC or PlayStation 5, but there's been a last-minute change, and you may be able to try the game today even if you have not bought your copy yet. Sony has opened this weekend's beta to all PlayStation Plus members, no matter if they have pre-ordered the game or not. This means that anyone subscribed to the service can now download the game and find out by themselves if all the rumours about Concord are true.

Of course, if you do not fall into any of these categories you still have the opportunity to try the game on the next open beta event, which will run from July 18 to July 21 for PC and PlayStation 5 players. The beta features all the characters that will be available at launch in Concord, a total of 16. It also gives you access to three distinct gameplay modes: Cargo Run, Clash Point, and Trophy Hunt.
