Borderlands 3 release date has finally been confirmed; it's coming on September 13th, 2019. It will be out in multiple versions and available for purchase on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Each of the versions will have unique bonuses and extras but they are only available in exchange for extra cash. All in all, there will be four editions of Borderlands 3: Standard ($59.99), Deluxe ($79.99), Super Deluxe ($99.99, $119.99 beginning September 11th), and the Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition ($249.99). Aside from the release date, Gearbox Software also published a new trailer that showcases Borderlands 3’s gameplay and some of its new characters, the Vault Hunters: Moze, the Gunner; Amara, the Siren; Fl4k, the Beastmaster, and Zane, the Operative, each of them a distinct specialization.
The trailer also confirmed that the game will be an Epic Games Store exclusive at the time of its launch. They have announced this in their press release saying that Borderlands 3 "will be available for PC exclusively through the Epic Games Store… and will be available on additional PC digital storefronts in April 2020." This decision is said to be in line with their efforts to welcome new delivery platforms. They also said that Epic shares its commitment in wanting to bring Borderlands 3 to the rapidly expanding gaming community. Up until recently, Steam has been dominating the PC gaming industry, but the wind is changing for this year as more and more games are switching from Steam to Epic. Several high-profile titles such as The Division 2 and Metro Exodus have moved to Epic and more are following the steps of these big-league games. Hours after all these reveals, the cover art for Borderlands 3 was leaked. The cover features a Psycho reminiscent to the first two games, minus the finger guns.
With fans who can’t seem to veer away from discovering new things every day, we can almost expect shocking revelations on the coming weeks or months. So, stay tuned for more news about your favorite games here.
