It has already been a month since the release of Black Myth: Wukong, and by now, many players have likely completed the game. Numerous players have discovered many secrets behind Black Myth: Wukong's story after unlocking the game's New Game+ mode. Despite this, Black Myth: Wukong's popularity remains strong. During the Tokyo Game Show, it was revealed that Black Myth: Wukong sold an impressive 20 million copies within the first month of its launch.

At the event, Ken Kutaragi presented a slide showing that Black Myth: Wukong had achieved 10 million sales within the first three days, and within a month, it had reached a total of 20 million copies sold, making Black Myth: Wukong one of the best-selling games of all time.
 


Black Myth: Wukong surpasses another milestone

The same presentation also revealed that Black Myth: Wukong had reached 3 million concurrent players across all platforms. According to SteamDB, the game saw 2.4 million concurrent players on PC in August. Since Game Science has not yet released Black Myth: Wukong on Xbox, the remaining 600,000 players are from Playstation 5. This indicates that 80% of Black Myth: Wukong 's player base is on PC.

A recent rumor from Daniel Camilo, who had previously reported the 20 million sales milestone, suggests that Black Myth: Wukong's DLC is expected to release during the Lunar New Year. In the same tweet, Camilo also noted that Black Myth: Wukong's challenging gameplay might make it difficult for the game to maintain its large player base, particularly in China, where players could lose interest in the upcoming DLC. Game Science has had to roll out several updates to balance the game's difficulty for this reason.
