Ubisoft reveals Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora release date

Ubisoft reveals Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora release date

The recent Ubisoft Forward has been the source of plenty of reveals from the French developer, but there is one game that raised some eyebrows during the event. The massive popularity of the films directed by James Cameron has made the expectation for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora go through the roof since the game was announced. After a long time in development, Ubisoft seems to be ready to start showing more of its upcoming action-adventure game.

A new view of Pandora

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora takes you to the aforementioned planet in the role of a Na’vi who was put into cryosleep by the RDA in an attempt to turn you into a weapon to be used against your people. Fifteen years later, you wake up and have to deal with unexpected circumstances in a world that is totally changed.

When it comes to gameplay, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora reminisces of one of the best series from Ubisoft: Far Cry. A living open world environment full of threats will be the source of endless opportunities for adventure and exciting combats. First-person exploration, multiple combat styles, and an impressive alien planet to explore are the highlights of an adventure that won't leave you indifferent.

"In this new, standalone story, play as a Na’vi and embark on a journey across the Western Frontier, a never-before-seen part of Pandora. Explore a living and reactive world inhabited by unique creatures and new characters, and push back the formidable RDA forces that threaten it."

Alongside the game overview trailer released during the Ubisoft Forward, the developer has also confirmed the release date for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. The game will launch on December 7 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
