Ubisoft reveals Assassin's Creed Valhalla story

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is one of the most anticipated games of 2020 and since it was announced Ubisoft has been progressively revealing details about the game. Although we have learned a lot about in-game mechanics and other aspects of the game, one of the key pieces of the puzzle was still missing, at least until now. We knew that we will play as a Viking raider named Eivor that will arrive at the coast of England to build a settlement, but nothing had been said about the story of the game beyond very general things. In a new video that was published yesterday, Ubisoft lets us take a peek at the story in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, unveiling the reasons behind the invasion and that Eivor will be involved in things far more complex than a simple war that will influence the future of the continent in ages to come.

Survival seems to be the main reason behind the invasion of England, and Vikings will have to pay a high price in blood for it when they have to fight the Saxons. Of course, not everything in Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be raids, war, and bloodshed, and there is room for an epic story and the management of a settlement that will be your main priority for the survival of your people. Whatever decisions you will make will have an effect on the destiny of your people and in Assassin's Creed Valhalla you won't be a lone wolf as in other games.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla seems to have all the elements needed to become one of the most interesting games in the series, not only because of a good story and new gameplay elements that will be a breath of fresh air but also because it may transform the license.
