AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D launching soon, promising cost-effective gaming performance

There are rumors circulating about AMD's upcoming release of a new X3D CPU, set to launch next month. This won't be a 9000X3D CPU, but rather a budget-friendly model called the Ryzen 5 7600X3D. Essentially, it's a Ryzen 5 7600X with 3D V-Cache, providing a significant boost in gaming workloads and any other tasks benefitting from ample L3 cache.

According to Moore’s Law is Dead, AMD is currently aiming to debut this CPU at a price of $249, although this isn't yet confirmed as the final MSRP. However, their source suggested that the CPU could launch for under $300, and emphasized its focus on OEM and SI customers rather than DIY PC builders.

The expected $249 MSRP aligns with our own projections for AMD's new processor. This CPU will be notably pricier than AMD’s Ryzen 5 7600X, yet slightly more affordable than the new Ryzen 5 9600X. Gamers can anticipate AMD’s X3D chip to be a preferable option over their non-X3D Zen 5 chip.

The upcoming Ryzen 5 7600X3D is set to utilize six processor cores for computations, boasting up to 32 megabytes of third-level L3 cache. Additionally, it will feature 64 megabytes of fast 3D V-Cache memory. When factoring in the L2 cache, the total memory will reach 102 megabytes. In practical terms, this translates to enhanced processor efficiency, particularly during gaming.

The interesting AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D processor is expected to go on sale in September. Of course, more about the newcomer will be known soon. Will there be a rapid depletion of this CPU's stock post-launch? How will its availability compare to that of the Ryzen 5 5600X3D? Will it indeed be the budget gaming CPU we are all anticipating? Only time will tell when this CPU is finally released. Until then, you can try checking out our comparator to find the best deals for your next favorite game.
