Although we were deprived of the E3 in June 2020 due to the situation with the pandemic, many of the publishers organized their own events online. It was during Electronic Arts, EA Play, that we could have a glimpse of It Takes Two, an upcoming game created by Josef Fares.
The name may not ring a bell for you, but you may know his work as he is a famous film director that also has delved into the video games world and created two excellent games: Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and A Way Out. Both games have something in common: they feature not one but two main characters who must join forces, and this is exactly the path that their successor, It Takes Two, will follow.
A new It Takes Two video has been published recently, and it reveals the gameplay of the game in more detail. In particular, it focuses on squirrels and wasps to show how the protagonists interact with their environment.
It Takes Two narrates the story of a couple, May and Cody, who is on the verge of divorce. But their daughter Rose does not agree with it and she has turned her parents into dolls. They find themselves trapped in this form and in order to regain their human forms, Cody and May will need to cooperate and follow the advice of a talkative and improvised romantic love coach, Dr. Hakim. On the gameplay side, It Takes Two is a platform adventure game that playable only in cooperative mode. But don't panic, because one copy of the game is enough for two people to play it. Its creator aims to deliver a game in which each level brings a new mechanic for each character, so your experience will be completely different depending on the character you play.
You won't have to wait much longer to play It Takes Two, as the game will be released on March 26 on Playstation and Xbox consoles, as well as on PC.
