A new Halo game is in the works

Halo is a series that has been widely appreciated by many players for almost 20 years now, since the first installment, Halo: Combat Evolved was released in 2001. It is also one of the flagship licenses of the Xbox consoles, and it has also been one of the major selling points for Microsoft consoles for many years. The next installment in the series, Halo Infinite, caught the attention of players when it was revealed during E3 2018. However, it wasn't so popular during the Xbox Showcase which took place on July 23, 2020, in which some gameplay sequences were shown, as the graphics of the game received some harsh criticism.

The release of Halo Infinite was pushed back to 2021 a few months ago, and now we discover that another Halo game is currently in development. As is often the case, a job offer has revealed the existence of what most certainly seems to be a new, yet unannounced project. There is a job offer at Microsoft's site for a producer position “for a new project in the world of Halo”. Even though this leaves little room for doubt, no official announcement has yet been made on this subject.

There is no real evidence of any information whatsoever from this offer regarding the nature of this Halo game other than that it is an AAA title, but that is hardly surprising. This new project will undoubtedly be either a successor to Halo Infinite or a new installment in the RTS series Halo: Wars, but it's difficult to say which of both. It's also possible that 343 Industries will surprise us with a new concept.

We would love to know more about this project in the upcoming months and hopefully before Halo Infinite is available, which should happen at some point in 2021.
