The Dark Pictures: Little Hope is revealed in a new trailer

After a first and short trailer published at the beginning of March, a little more about the second part of The Dark Pictures Anthology has been revealed today. The Dark Pictures: Little Hope is introduced in a new trailer that reveals more of its story.

The first thing that you have to remember is that Little Hope will be out this summer. The exact date has not been revealed yet, but we have a window for its launch. We also learn a little more about what will be the setting for this second story, which is presented to us by the Curator, just like in Man of Medan.

Abandoned and all alone, 4 college students and their teacher become stranded in an isolated town miles from anywhere after their bus crashes in bad weather. Trapped by a mysterious fog in the town of Little Hope, they search desperately for a means of escape whilst visions from the past haunt them from the shadows.

The Curator presents the city of Little Hope with a touch of irony, telling us that it has a dark past, referring to 1692, the year in which the trials of Salem began. The story, therefore, revolves around the witch hunt that took place at the city in the past, and that continues to haunt it.

Like its predecessor, Little Hope is a primarily narrative game in which your choices have a direct impact on the sequence of events and the survival of the characters. It will also be possible to play solo or in cooperation with other players and the game features the same three game modes that you could experience in the previous installment. Movie Night mode allows up to five players to play locally, each embodying a character, while Shared Story mode allows you to share the adventure with a friend online.

The Dark Pictures: Little Hope will be released this summer on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. In the meantime, don't forget that you can still take advantage of Friend's Pass until May 1 to play for free in coop with a friend who owns Man of Medan.
