Any seasoned comic reader and Marvel fan knows that there is a huge list of superheroes that have been joined the Avengers since they were created in 1963 to compete against DC's Justice League. The more recent films focus on a certain group of them that can be considered the founders of the group although some of the original members of the Avengers have been left out. Since Marvel's Avengers is a modern game based on the license in its current form the game features Captain America, Black Widow, Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor, with Miss Marvel as a special guest. But one of the members that appeared in the films was missing and Crystal Dynamics has just revealed that he will be part of the characters that will be added to Marvel´s Avengers via DLC after the game is released. We are, of course, talking about Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, who has been revealed in a teaser video.
Crystal Dynamics has confirmed that Hawkeye won't just simply be added as a playable character, and they revealed that he will have a series of story missions separate from the main campaign that will introduce him to the players. Those missions will be playable solo or in co-op mode and the developers have confirmed that this will be the standard procedure to add new characters to the game, something that should include more heroes in the future. Regarding the price of adding Hawkeye to Marvel's Avengers, it's been confirmed that it will be free and that the same will happen with other possible characters later on.
As you probably know if you have been following us, several Marvel's Avengers beta events will take place in August, and players will finally be able to test the gameplay. The official release of Marvel's Avengers is scheduled for September 4th, 2020 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. You can find it at the best price in our comparator.
