What Alien Isolation presents is an entire new level of fear for gamers who dare to board a spaceship inhabited by the deadly Xenomorph. Set in 2137, 15 years after the mysterious disappearance of the Nostromo, players will assume the role of Amanda Ripley, the daughter of the movie franchise's main protagonist Ellen Ripley. Trapped onboard the Sevastapol, a remote space station owned by the Seegson Corporation, Ripley must fight to survive and discover the truth of what happened to her mother onboard the Nostromo all those years ago. The game is a true example of survival horror, in what puts Alien Isolation players in the position of being the prey, in this case to the relentless pursuiting Alien. Amanda will have to sneak, hide and use the minimal items and technology at her disposal in order to survive. As opposed to past Alien games that have focused predominantly on action, Isolation is driven by the use of stealth and constant atmospheric tension. The player must attempt to outsmart the Alien and remain one step ahead at all times, with the use of motion trackers, crafting items, flares and the element of fire to deter the Alien's onslaught. Fans of the original movie and its sequel Aliens are bound to get a massive kick out of Alien Isolation. It features a similar lo-fi 1970s theme found in the original movie, running on an entirely new engine built from scratch in order to bring the authenticity from the first film from lighting effects and much more.
