Abathor is a 2D action platformer designed for solo play or up to 4 players. Inspired by games such as Golden Axe, Rastan, and Castlevania IV, the game reminisces of great arcade classics from the 90s. With its unique 16-bit pixel art graphics, Abathor pays homage to the classics with a gameplay experience that feels nostalgic and rewarding at the same time.
The storyline revolves around the anger of the gods towards the Atlantean civilization, which has led to the unleashing of hordes of monsters to punish Atlantis and destroy the continent. Players must cooperate and compete to save Atlantis through a series of increasingly difficult challenges. As they progress, they'll fight against ferocious demons and primordial gods as they traverse incredible scenarios. They will also compete against each other for loot and spoils, plundering treasures they can sacrifice to the gods to receive their favour.
